Membership

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) represents a dynamic and diverse group of more than 7,000 professionals focused on advancing the knowledge and practice of allergies, asthma and immunology for optimal patient care.

If you are interested in applying for membership, please review all the member type descriptions and benefits below.

Application Information

All applications must be reviewed by the Board of Directors for approval. The Board of Directors meets three times during the year, so three deadlines are used for the review of applications.

All applications are accepted year round. Please note that incomplete applications will be kept on file for a period of no more than one year from the date of submission. If not completed within one year of receipt, the application, including all supporting documents, will be discarded.

Training/Researching

The AAAAI offers free memberships to those at the beginning of their career in allergy/immunology or a related field. Persons that are enrolled in an approved U.S. or Canadian program may begin membership as early as in medical school. Persons outside of the U.S. or Canada may begin as early as fellowship training or PhD/Post-doctoral fellowship.
