About the AAAAI
The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) is the most prominent membership organization of more than 7,000 allergists / immunologists (in the United States, Canada and 72 other countries) and patients' trusted resource for allergies, asthma and immune deficiency disorders. This membership includes allergist / immunologists, other medical specialists, allied health and related healthcare professionals—all with a special interest in the research and treatment of allergic and immunologic diseases.

An Academy at the Forefront
The evolution of the AAAAI dates back to the early 1920s with the founding of two professional organizations: the Society for the Study of Asthma and Allied Conditions (on the East Coast) and the American Association for the Study of Allergy (on the West Coast). The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (JACI) Published monthly, the JACI is the most-cited scientific journal in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. The JACI has been named one of the most influential journals in the past 100 years by the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association. The JACI traces its roots back to 1929 with the first edition of The Journal of Allergy.
