IVIG Infusion Therapy

IVIg Infusion therapy involves the administration of antibodies or immunoglobulin medication (IgG) through a needle or catheter. Infusions are given when a patient’s condition cannot be treated with oral medicine. Typically, infusion therapy means that a medication is given intravenously in a catheter that is in your vein, but the term also may refer to situations where a medication such as subcutaneous IgG is being administered under the skin.
