IVIG Infusion Therapy
Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is given when a patient’s condition cannot be treated with oral medicine. Typically, infusion therapy means that a medication is given intravenously in a catheter that is in your vein, but the term also may refer to situations where a medication is being administered subcutaneously, meaning under the skin.
