The use of systemic corticosteroids for treatment of COVID-19

Question:

3/11/2020
There is some concern about oral corticosteroid consumption in patients with asthma attack due to COVID-19?

Answer:

The use of systemic corticosteroids for treatment of COVID-19 lung disease in individuals without asthma is not recommended. There is no data at this time to support not using all standard asthma therapeutic measures, including systemic corticosteroids, in individuals with asthma and a COVID-19 infection.
