Mediator release testing, irritable bowel syndrome

I have a patient with IBS who is requesting MRT (Mediator Release Testing) for food sensitivities. My understanding is that this is not a validated testing procedure. Am I correct?
Answer:
You are correct, I am not aware of any testing that can identify food sensitivity. I am not even sure what food sensitivity even means. As you probably already know there are numerous companies that are advertising these food sensitivity panels that can help treat a variety of symptoms.
