Intradermal skin testing materials

Question:

7/9/2019
Can eye drop solution be used for intradermal allergy testing? Does all ID skin testing solution have to be an injectable form of medication?

Answer:

I have asked Dr. Roland Solensky for his input. His response was as follows:

"I am not aware of eye drops being used for ID skin testing. ID skin testing is only performed with parental forms of drugs, since it needs to be sterile, unlike materials used for prick-puncture skin testing."

I hope this is helpful.
