Major Goals of Training Program
The program is a combined internal medicine/pediatric fellowship with entry tracks for individuals who have successfully completed their training in pediatrics or internal medicine. Both tracks offer extensive clinical experience in allergic diseases of the respiratory system, autoimmune diseases, immune skin diseases, and both congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies. Trainees with a background in pediatrics or medicine spend approximately 25% of their time in clinical training in internal medicine or pediatrics respectively. All trainees are required to actively participate in either clinical research or a laboratory-based research project and present their research projects at national meetings and submit them for publication in peer reviewed journals.
