Baked Pears

M, E, W, P, S, N

½ cup rice syrup (may substitute corn or maple syrup for rice syrup)
½ cup water
2 Tbsp lemon juice or vitamin C crystals
4 pears

In a small bowl, combine water, rice syrup and lemon juice or vitamin C crystals. Peel pears and arrange them, whole, in an oven-proof dish. Pour syrup over fruit and bake at 350° F for 40 minutes, or until tender.
