Q:

3/11/2013
One of my patients with known CVID was admitted with zoster involving his neck. Last IVIG was 1 week ago and his IgG levels are typically over 600. He is on antivirals. Are there any other recommendations for treatment? We avoided oral steroids due to his immunodeficiency.

A:

Thank you for your inquiry.

I believe that you are, to my knowledge, doing all that is available for the management of zoster in this patient.

Thank you again for your inquiry and we hope this response is helpful to you.

Sincerely,
Phil Lieberman, M.D.
