Testing for allergy to pine nut

Question:

Is there a commercially available prick skin test reagent for pine nut?

Answer:

Thank you for your inquiry.

I am not aware of any skin test for pine nut and could not find such on a search of two suppliers. However, there is an ImmunoCAP available from Thermo Scientific that can be used to test for IgE anti-pine nut. Here is a link to the website describing this product.

Thank you again for your inquiry.

Sincerely,
Phil Lieberman, M.D.
