I am aware the literature shows efficacy for Alternaria and Cladisporium. Are there any studies with other molds and should they be added to immunotherapy? It is not clearly stated in the practice parameters for immunotherapy. Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The information contained in the most recent Practice Parameters on Immunotherapy, which you mentioned, is still the most current summary on immunotherapy to molds. To my knowledge, and confirmed by a recent search of the literature, the only two molds which have been studied extensively are Alternaria and Cladosporium. Thus, the decision to add other molds to an immunotherapy mixture remains at the discretion of the physician instituting therapy.

Thank you again for your inquiry and we hope this response is helpful to you.
