Hair analysis unproven test

Question:

5/4/2017
Is hair analysis reliable for nutritional deficiencies or food allergy?

Answer:

The paragraph below is from the 2008 Practice Parameter on Allergy Diagnostic Testing, and I found nothing more recent to refute the statement:
"Procedures for which there is no evidence of diagnostic validity include hair analysis. Hair analysis has important uses in screening for metal intoxication, but this does not necessarily carry over to its utility for nutritional deficiencies or chronic diseases. "

I hope this helps.
