Copyright Policies and Procedures

Unless otherwise stated, print materials, presentations, and website content of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) is protected under U.S. copyright law and other international treaties and conventions. None of the said content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, adapted or transmitted in any form or by any means including but not limited to: electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior written consent of the AAAAI.

Permission requests from government, educational and/or healthcare institutions, the media and non-profit organizations with activities that support the AAAAI mission will be considered on an individual basis. The AAAAI does not typically accept requests from commercial and/or for-profit entities.

All patient articles written by AAAAI Committees are presented as AAAAI communications. No individual attributions will be provided.

To request permission to reproduce content from The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, locate the relevant article on the Journal's website and click on the Rights/Permissions link under the Article Tools menu.

Members can submit a request to have information added to the website by completing an AAAAI Member Website Request form.
 

AAAAI Website Medical Editor Andrew D. Moore, MD, FAAAAI

Dr. MooreDr. Moore obtained his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed his residency in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in clinical immunology and allergy at the Montreal General Hospital. He has worked as an allergist in private practice in Montreal and as a Clinical Teaching Professor and researcher for the University of Sherbrooke. He currently works as an allergist/immunologist for Ear, Nose, and Throat and Allergy/Asthma Care, a member of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians in the Washington, DC-Baltimore corridor.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he has had the opportunity to work as a physician editor for several prominent medical websites and is certified in Full Stack Web Development. He redeveloped and maintains the website for the Association of Allergists and Immunologists of Québec. Moore speaks fluent French and in his free-time enjoys traveling, swimming and skiing.
 

AAAAI Social Media Medical Editor David R. Stukus, MD, FAAAAI

Dr. StukusDr. Stukus received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his pediatric residency and chief residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by his fellowship in allergy/immunology at the Cleveland Clinic. He practices at Nationwide Children’s Hospital where he serves as Director of the Food Allergy Treatment Center, Director of Quality Improvement for the Division of Allergy and Immunology, and Associate Director of the Pediatric Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Training Program.

Dr. Stukus is active on social media through his Twitter and Instagram accounts @AllergyKidsDoc, where he engages with the general public and colleagues as he disseminates evidence-based information and battles misconceptions. He has created curriculum at his institution to train medical students and residents on social media best practices and often trains physicians on the use of social media at national conferences. Within our specialty, Dr. Stukus has distinguished himself as a leading example of how social media can be a useful tool for education, awareness, engagement and advocacy.
