Advocacy

Advocacy is central to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology’s (AAAAI) mission. We work to ensure patients with allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders have access to the best care and that physicians have the tools to provide it. Through the AAAAI Advocacy Committee, professional staff, and our government relations partners in Washington, DC, we amplify your voice to influence policy and advance our specialty.
Government Shutdown Resource
To help members navigate the ongoing government shutdown and understand the potential impact, our partners at Hart Health Strategies continue to update this resource. (AAAAI Members Only)
What We Stand For
Supporting Practice Sustainability
We advocate for policies that help allergy / immunology practices thrive, fair reimbursement, less administrative burden, adequate and transparent payment policies and sustainable systems dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Protecting Patient Access to Care
We fight for policies that ensure all patients can get the care, treatments and medications they need. Our advocacy supports evidence-based care, public health initiatives and resources for patients, families and communities.
Growing the Specialty
We champion investment in allergy / immunology research and physician training, helping grow the specialty and expand its reach to meet the needs of patients.
