Faculty Development Program

Faculty Development Program

BUILD YOUR NETWORK.
IMPROVE YOUR GRANT WRITING.
PREPARE FOR YOUR CAREER IN RESEARCH.

Apply to join AAAAI September 5-8, in Milwaukee, WI for an intensive, four-day program on academic research and career development. This invitation-only program provides a unique opportunity for emerging physicians and scientists who are committed to an academic career in allergic diseases to receive individualized mentorship from established faculty.

Invited participants will be asked to provide a brief presentation of planned, ongoing, or recently completed clinical, translational, or basic research during the program. Mentors will lead small group breakouts to discuss the essential aspects of a career in research, including managing a research team, budgeting, publishing, and maintaining a work-life balance. Presentations will also address NIH grants and research funding processes.

If invited to attend, The AAAAI will cover your economy roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, travel to and from the airport, and meal reimbursements for meals not supplied during the program.

“I was blown away by how much quality advice the mentors gave to me after only a few short minutes of knowing me – this outside perspective was what I really needed to re-evaluate my career trajectory.”
