Updates on hotel rooms, flights, refunds and more
Following the announcement that the 2020 AAAAI Annual Meeting has been cancelled
, the AAAAI is sharing some additional important details for attendees. The Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the meeting due to many factors, including the number of speaker cancellations due to travel restrictions and new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention travel guidance.
NEW! Cancelling Hotel Rooms
The AAAAI will be cancelling all hotel rooms for attendees who booked within the AAAAI room block.
If you booked within the AAAAI room block, there is no action you need to take to cancel your hotel room since the AAAAI will cancel your room for the duration of your full reservation. If you did not book within the AAAAI room block, a reminder that you need to contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation and that it is subject to the cancellation policy provided when you confirmed the reservation. with the specifics of your stay.
All AAAAI Annual Meeting registration fees will be fully refunded in approximately 4-6 weeks. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through processing and issuing the refunds.
Virtual Options Being Explored
The Annual Meeting Program Committee is exploring options to present some Annual Meeting session content, including posters and oral abstracts, in an online format. Please watch your email for updates about this new Virtual Meeting coming soon.
The AAAAI will also be cancelling flights for those whose flights were booked through the AAAAI. Again, if you booked your flight through the AAAAI, then there is no action you need to take to cancel. Please note that attendees whose flights were not booked through the AAAAI will need to take the appropriate steps to cancel their flights.
