COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy

Question:

5/27/2021
COVID-19 vaccine can be used in pregnancy does it include the first trimester?

Answer:

Admittedly, there is a lack of data regarding COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy among pregnant women which makes counseling challenging. The CDC and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend that pregnant women choose to be vaccinated. The recommendation is the same for women who are trying to become pregnant. Neither of their websites specify avoidance of vaccine administration during the first trimester.

I hope this helps you with your patient.
