Criteria for Inclusion in the Database of Outcomes Research Tools
The following criteria were applied when selecting tools for inclusion in the database. Please contact Reaca Pearl, rpearl@aaaai.org, if you have additional tools which you believe should be included in the database.

1) The tool must be a questionnaire-based tool that measures an outcome that would be useful to track in clinical practice or research. Most of the included questionnaires deal with QOL or functional status, but some look primarily at other outcome measures such as symptom scores.

2) The tool was designed for, or has been used for the evaluation of patients with allergic/respiratory disorders (i.e. disorders which are of interest to the AAAAI membership).

3) The development of the tool, as well as essential elements of reliability and validity must have been published in a peer reviewed journal (in English), and this published article must have been cited at least once by another author (as counted on the ISI-Web of Science Medline search tool).

User Survey 4) If the tool was originally designed in a non-English language, the English version must have been separately validated and published in an English language publication (as in #3).
