• Identify differential diagnosis for progressive shortness of breath in older adults.
• Determine the use of pulmonary function tests to differentiate asthma from other forms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
• Review the use of pharmacotherapy in the geriatric, severe-persistent asthmatic patient.
