International Educational Exchange: Visiting Educator
Applications are currently being reviewed
The Health Care Education, Delivery and Quality (HCEDQ) Interest Section is no longer accepting applications from allergist/immunologists interested in becoming a visiting educator for the International Educational Exchange pilot program. Developed by the AAAAI International Health Care Delivery Committee, the goal of the program is to increase awareness of allergic disease and therapy by offering qualified institutions in developing countries the opportunity to host an allergist/immunologist. The Educational Exchange Review Group is currently reviewing visiting educator applications. Through the program, an AAAAI member will spend 5 to 7 days visiting the host institution, working with healthcare professionals, consulting on cases and helping educate staff.
2006 Host Institution: Mongolian Society of Allergology
The accepted applicant will work with the Mongolian Society of Allergology to develop a curriculum and time line for the visit. Other qualified applicants who are not selected for the pilot program will be put into the Visiting Educator pool of the Educational Exchange. The EERG will match visiting educators with accepted host institutions based on the needs of the host institutions and the areas of interest and expertise of the visiting educators.
For more information on the International Educational Exchange contact Katie Muellenbach at the AAAAI executive office at (414) 272-6071 or e-mail kmuellenbach@aaaai.org.
