Major Goals of Training Program
This is a combined internal medicine-pediatric training program with entry tracks for residents board eligible in pediatrics or internal medicine. The training is fully integrated between the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics to facilitate a broad clinical exposure to allergic, asthmatic and immunologic disorders affecting both children and adults. Fellows participate in clinical outpatient and inpatient care of adult and pediatric cases. Special emphasis is placed on fellow participation in clinical and basic research projects leading to presentation at national meeting and preparation of manuscripts for peer reviewed journals. Fellows participate in conferences, journal club and didactic sessions on a weekly basic.
