Major Goals of Training Program
The program prepares fellows-in-training with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue careers as specialists in the field. Based at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, DE, the program offers balanced clinical and research experiences in pediatric and adult allergy, asthma, and immunology. During the two years, you will rotate monthly on rotations designed to provide you with the tools to launch your career in allergy and immunology. If desired, there are also opportunities to participate in related clinical rotations. You will play an active role in educating and training pediatric residents and will supervise medical students from Sidney Kimmel Medical College and other medical schools. Fellows’ scholarly activities can be tailored to include subject matter that may be of particular interest. Graduating fellows are prepared for careers in either academic medicine or private practice.
