Antihistamines
These block the action of histamine which results in a reduction of
many allergic symptoms especially itching and mucus production.
Antihistamine/decongestants
These medications usually contain an antihistamine in combination with
a decongestant.
Leukotriene antagonists
These medications block the action of leukotrienes, which can result
in the reduction of various allergic symptoms such as mucus production.

Many of these medications are available as a generic or under their
original brand name.
Sedation?
Some of these medications have sedation (cause you to be drowsy) as a
possible side effect.
OTC or Rx?
Many of these medications are available without a prescription, also
