Rhinosinusitis: Do I Need Sinus Surgery?

Many patients see sinus surgery as a ‘quick fix’ for their symptoms. But when their sinus disease recurs quickly after surgery, they are more eager to find out what the underlying problems might be and how to control them. In some cases, identifying the underlying problems contributing to rhinosinusitis will result in a much better control of rhinosinusitis symptoms. It may also prevent the need for additional sinus surgery. Optimal medical treatment is also extremely important to help prevent the rapid recurrence of rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps after sinus surgery.
