School Science Projects - Earth
Looking for an idea for a science project about the Earth? Here are a few ideas to help:
- Educate your class about pollen and mold. Explain to them:
- What is pollen?
- What is mold?
- Where does it come from?
- How does weather play a role in the amount of pollen in the air?
- How to find out the pollen and mold counts
- How can someone avoid pollen and mold?
- What is rhinitis (hayfever)?
- What are other common outdoor allergens?
- What are common indoor allergens?

- Create a poster showing what pollens and mold looks like under a microscope by looking at these photos.
- Create a chart showing daily pollen counts in your area and how they change as the season changes in different areas of the country. Use the pollen counts at the National Allergy Bureau (NAB) Web site.
