drugsLooking for an idea for a science project about allergies and anaphylaxis? Here are a few ideas to help:

  1. Educate your class about anaphylaxis. Explain to them:
  2. exerciseMake a diagram showing what happens in the body when anaphylaxis occurs.
  3. Obtain an Epi-Pen trainer to demonstrate how to inject it.
  4. Make a poster showing the most common anaphylactic triggers.
  5. Create a brochure listing steps to take in case someone has an anaphylactic reaction and hand it out to your class.
  6. Show a video telling about allergies similar to the one found here.

For more information about food related anaphylaxis, visit the AAAAI Patient Gallery or the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN).
