Sometimes it feels like no one understands. No one understands what it's like not to be able to participate in the hayride at your preschool's annual trip to the pumpkin patch. No one understands why you have to go to the nurse's office right in the middle of the dodge ball game, because you need another puff of your inhaler. No one understands that when you get sick, it's not just an ordinary cold, for you're constantly bound to your nebulizer. No one, that is, except a person with asthma… If there's anything I learned from this disease, it's that with hard work, I can do, be, and become anything. My asthma isn't a road block, but rather an obstacle of which I can and must overcome, a minor speed bump in this great journey of life.
