No trials of epinephrine for the treatment of anaphylaxis

The authors performed a Cochran Systematic Review looking for trials of epinephrine in the treatment of anaphylaxis. They found no trials, and therefore concluded that they were unable to make any new recommendations on the use of epinephrine for the treatment of anaphylaxis. However, in the absence of appropriate trials, they recommended that epinephrine be administered by intramuscular injections as the first-line treatment for the management of anaphylaxis.
