Inherent in the concept of practice-based learning and improvement is the requirement that one be able to appropriately apply, understand, and use data. This is necessary whether one is analyzing and studying one’s own practice or evaluating information from clinical studies or other studies concerning the effectiveness of diagnosis and therapy modalities. While learners typically have been exposed to one or more courses in biostatistics and epidemiology by the time they reach A/I training, research methodology continues to evolve. The resources provided here (also shown in the module on professionalism) are designed for use by individuals and programs with varying degrees of statistical sophistication. |
