AAAAI Practice Management    The Practice Management Committee has committed to collecting and analyzing data regarding financial issues and manpower utilization among Academy membership practices on an annual basis. The hopes of the committee members are that this exercise will help in establishing specific benchmarks that can be used for internal comparisons by our members to assess how their specific practice are doing compared to national and regional standards. These "benchmarks" will allow us to monitor practicing allergist's average performance over time, and help determine if external economic factors are that affecting our productivity as a subspecialty. The need for all members to accurately participate in the survey is essential to insure significance of these findings. The fact that we are the largest organization of Board Certified Allergists in the country should insure that our survey results will have the greatest validity compared to surveys done by other organizations that utilize a much smaller percentage of respondents. As in past years the survey responses are strictly anonymous, with automated monitoring to avoid duplicate responses. Be assured that the individuals reviewing the data are completely blinded to which members are responding.
