 Chrysalis Project
The 2009 Chrysalis Project will be taking place in Washington, D.C. The project is designed to increase interest in the allergy and immunology specialty among full-time U.S. and Canadian medical students. Interested medical students are encouraged to apply for travel and housing grants to spend four days at the 2009 AAAAI's Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. - March 12-15, 2009. Top medical students from around the country are selected based on the following criteria: a letter of support from a faculty member at the applicant's institution, any research, publication or presentation experience, a current CV and a statement of career goals. Participants who are accepted into the program are paired with a Fellow-in-Training Mentor, attend sessions designed specifically for medical students, and attend scientific workshops and symposia of their choice. Accommodations and airfare are provided to participants accepted into the program as well as a stipend for ground transportation. The deadline to apply is November 14, 2008.
The online application is available here.
If you are a Fellow-in-training interested in mentoring a Chrysalis Project participant, please read more about the FIT Mentor Program here.
