Chrysalis Project

The 2008 Chrysalis Project will be taking place in Philadelphia, PA. The project is designed to increase interest in the allergy and immunology specialty among full-time U.S. and Canadian medical students. Interested medical students are encouraged to apply for travel and housing grants to spend four days at the 2008 AAAAI's Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA - March 13-16, 2008. Top medical students from around the country are selected based on the following criteria: a letter of support from a faculty member at the applicant's institution, any research, publication or presentation experience, a current CV and a statement of career goals. Participants who are accepted into the program are paired with a Fellow-in-Training Mentor, attend sessions designed specifically for medical students, and attend scientific workshops and symposia of their choice. Accommodations and airfare are provided to participants accepted into the program as well as a stipend for ground transportation. The deadline to apply is November 16, 2007.
