AAAAI Medical Informatics Committee Slide Tips

Dear Annual Meeting Speakers:

The AAAAI Medical Informatics Committee encourages you to use this tutorial to learn how to make more effective PowerPoint™ slides. The committee has put together three items for your reference:

  1. A PowerPoint™ presentation demonstrating how not to create slides with notes demonstrating why each slide format is incorrect. Download now or review the HTML version below.

The PowerPoint™ version will not automatically show the notes pages when you download it.
Tip: right-click on the "Download Now" link, choose "Save Target As" and save to your computer. When opening the file, choose the normal view to see the notes below each slide.

  2. A suggested slide master to use for your Annual Meeting slide presentation.

  3. A downloadable checklist to compare against your own set of slides. How do your slides measure up?

Slide Master
Download the slide master here and use for your own presentation. Be sure to select "View -> Master -> Slide Master" after downloading to view the title and bullet slide formats. This is just a suggested slide. You are still free to use your own format for the AAAAI Annual Meeting.

Checklist
Download the checklist here (PDF format) and compare your slides. See if they measure up and make changes to ensure you have created an effective set of slides.
