Airports

Buses/Streetcars
Hop on an RTA bus or take a ride in a historical streetcar. Rates for the RTA buses and streetcars are as follows:

  • One-way: $1.25 with an additional $0.25 for a transfer
  • One-day pass: $5.00
  • Three-day pass: $12.00

Taxi Cabs
Taxis are readily available at each of the AAAAI Annual Meeting hotels, as well as near the baggage claim area of the Louis Armstrong International Airport. From the Louis Armstrong International Airport to the Central Business District, fares are approximately $28.

Train
If you plan to travel to and from the meeting via the train, Amtrak offers a 10% discount off the lowest available rail fare to New Orleans, LA between February 23 and March 5, 2010. To book your reservation call Amtrak at (800) 872-7245 or contact your local travel agent. To receive the discount for AAAAI Annual Meeting delegates, mention the code X72Y-966 when booking your reservation. Please note that this discount cannot be applied when purchasing tickets online.
