Meeting Information
Admission to Sessions
Admission to AAAAI educational sessions is reserved for meeting registrants and registered members of the press only. Guests and exhibitors will not be admitted to educational sessions. In consideration of fire codes and as a courtesy to others, those without tickets will not be allowed into ticketed sessions.
Children and Guests
The AAAAI asks delegates to refrain from taking children, spouses or guests to any educational session offered at the 2010 Annual Meeting. Registered guests are welcome to relax in the Hospitality Suite or visit the Exhibit Hall; however, an adult must accompany children under the age of 18 at all times.
Committee Meetings
Committee meetings are held during the Annual Meeting for the purpose of conducting AAAAI-related business. Current and newly appointed members of each committee are expected to attend these meetings. If you would like information about joining a particular committee, please contact the AAAAI executive office at (414) 272-6071 or e-mail info@aaaai.org. A schedule of committee meetings taking place at the 2010 Annual Meeting will be included in the Itinerary Planner and in the Final Program.
Continuing Education and Accreditation
Two types of continuing education credit will be available at the 2010 AAAAI Annual Meeting: Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for physicians and Continuing Education (CE) contact hours for nurses. Not all Annual Meeting sessions offer credit, and of those that do, not all of them offer both CME and CE. In total, there are 53.75 CME credits and 64.5 CE credits available at the Annual Meeting.
Intubation Stations
The AAAAI will again be presenting the Intubation Stations where delegates can participate in hands-on intubation training. Representatives from Louisiana State University will assist attendees with hands-on training. There is no fee or registration required to participate.
Epinephrine Auto-Injector Training
The Anaphylaxis Public Education Task Force will again offer training in the use of epinephrine auto-injectors at the AAAAI Annual Meeting. Primarily, auto-injector trainers will be used, however, the Task Force hopes to offer a small number of actual auto-injectors for practice as well.
