Booth Construction Guidelines
Standard In-line or Corner Booths
Standard booths are 10’ x 10’ (100 ft2) or multiples thereof and are arranged in a straight line. All standard booths consist of 8’ (8 ft) high backwall drape, 3’ (3 ft) high sidewall drape and a standard 7" x 44" booth identification sign displaying the exhibitor’s name and booth number. Exhibit fixtures, components and identification signs will be permitted to a maximum height of eight feet (8’). All display fixtures more than four feet (4’) in height must be at least four feet (4’) from the aisle to avoid blocking the sight line from the aisle to the adjoining booth.Island Booths
An island exhibit consists of a minimum of 20’ x 20’ (400 ft2) of exhibit space with aisles on all four sides. Exhibit fixtures, components and identification signs will be permitted to a maximum height of thirty feet (30'). Since an island booth is separated by the width of an aisle from all neighboring booths, full use of the booth area is permitted. If a booth is planned to be multi-level, the exhibitor is required to discuss these plans with the official service contractor.Booth Decor
The AAAAI does not provide tables, chairs, carpet or other booth equipment. A complete list of booth equipment and prices will be included in the Exhibitor Service Manual. No helium or air-filled balloons may be used as part of an exhibitor’s booth décor.Carpet, Colors and Cleaning
The exhibit hall has concrete floors and is not carpeted; therefore all exhibiting companies are required to carpet their booth space. Exhibitors may order carpet from the service contractor or place their own carpet in their booth space. Blue aisle carpet and drape will be provided by the service contractor. Booth cleaning is mandatory after move-in and is not included in the booth rental fee. The AAAAI may order daily cleaning if booth appearance is unsightly; the cost will be charged to the exhibitor.Electrical Regulations
All illuminated displays and other equipment requiring electrical current must conform to California electrical codes. All extension cords must be 3-wire grounded and UL approved. If there are any special requirements in this respect, exhibitors are requested to discuss this with the official service contractor.Facility Regulations
The exhibitor is not to affix, nail or otherwise attach anything to the walls, doors, floors or columns, except where a nail strip is provided. If there are any special requirements in this respect, exhibitors are requested to discuss this with the official service contractor.Floor Load Restrictions
Exhibitors must not exceed three hundred pounds per square foot (300 lbs/ft2).Labor Regulations
Exhibitors are required to conform to all local labor regulations. Should there be any questions regarding the interpretation of local labor regulations, exhibitors are requested to discuss the matter with the official service contractor. In the event that exhibitors require the assistance of skilled or regular labor, they are advised to make early reservations for those services in writing to the official service contractor.Last-Up, First-Down Locations
Several booths may be designated as “last-up, first-down” locations. These booths are generally near the freight entrances; therefore, it is important to keep these areas clear during installation and dismantlement. An exhibitor assigned to such a location should have a booth that can be quickly installed and dismantled. These exhibitors will not be permitted to set up until Saturday morning, February 24 and must tear down immediately Monday afternoon, February 26.For more information on booth construction guidelines contact:
