National Asthma Educator Certification Review Course

Credit: No CME / 14.4 CEIn partnership with the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE), the AAAAI will host a National Asthma Educator Certification Review Course in conjunction with the Annual Meeting.
This course will prepare participants to sit for the National Asthma Educator Certification Exam and will provide an in-depth review of asthma education based on the National Asthma Educator Certification Exam matrix.
Participants must pre-register for this course. The fee is $250 and includes the course syllabus and meals. Each attendee will receive 14.4 Contact Hours for their participation. Participants are not required to register for the AAAAI Annual Meeting in order to attend the review course.

Target Audience: RNs, NPs, PAs, MAs, LPNs/LVNs, respiratory therapists, community educators
Learning Objectives: 1) Discuss trends in asthma prevalence, morbidity and mortality; 2) Discuss barriers to adherence as they apply to self-assessment and self management of asthma; 3) Utilize problem-based learning to develop a plan of care for patients with persistent asthma; 4) Sit for the National Asthma Educator Certification Exam after an in-depth review of asthma education based on the National Asthma Educator Certification Exam matrix.
