Our vision for this workshop is to facilitate the involvement of all disciplines of allied health for open round table discussions. The presenters will each have an allotted time to present their topics, and after their brief presentations, the group will break out into designated areas of interest for the presented topics. The facilitators will join these groups to “lunch and learn” from the facilitator and the delegates. Presentations include: Sanford E. Avner, MD, FAAAAI, and Lisa A. Maxwell will present, Practice Management: New Innovations for the Allergy and Asthma Practice, from a physician and office manager perspective. In my presentation, How Can the Asthma Educator Improve the Allergy/Asthma Practice, I will discuss the positive aspects of becoming a certified asthma educator and the steps that lead to this achievement. The new 2006 CPT coding for asthma education, when provided by a certified asthma educator (AE-C), will also be reviewed. Cheryl Koff Bernstein, RN, BSN, CCRC, will discuss the options of clinical research in an allergy/asthma practice in her presentation, Is Clinical Research an Option? Please plan to join us for this networking opportunity. Pre-registration and tickets are required, and lunch is included, but there is no fee for this session.
