2003 AAAAI Summer Fellowships awarded
The Academy is pleased to announce the 2003 AAAAI Summer Fellowship recipients. This program, sponsored by the AAAAI’s Allergy Educational Forum, provides 10 $2,000 grants to medical students at U.S. medical schools to conduct summer research under the supervision of a laboratory mentor.
Summer Fellowship recipients were selected by an ad hoc review committee composed of AAAAI Grant Review Committee members. The program provides an introduction to the specialty by fostering allergy and immunology research.
“The summer fellowship program offers medical students an opportunity to work in laboratories and gain exposure to the allergy/immunology specialty,” said AAAAI President Lanny J. Rosenwasser, MD, FAAAAI. “This is an important program in the AAAAI’s ongoing efforts to enhance the specialty, and I appreciate the Allergy Educational Forum’s generous support for it.”
