Call for abstracts: change in review process
A new review system has been implemented for abstracts submitted for the 2008 Annual Meeting. Each abstract will be scored in three areas and then recieve an overall, composite score. The three scoring categories are: significance, methodology and overall quality. Significance relates to the importance of the abstract to clinical, translational or basic science, as well as its novelty. Methodology includes study design, analytical methods and experimental methods. The category of overall quality will cover the clarity and logical flow of the abstract. In addition, general case reports will not be accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting. However, if an abstract is submitted in case report format, but includes novel information in which appropriate analytical and experimental methods were applied, it will be reviewed and scored with the other abstracts.
For more information on abstract submission, or to submit an abstract, visit the Annual Meeting Web site, www.annualmeeting.aaaai.org. Abstract submission closes on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 11:59 p.m. central time.
