Q:

I am using 2cm as the distance between percutaneous skin tests, but I can't find in Middleton the appropriate distance between ID (intracutaneous) skin tests. Is it also 2 cm? Is there a range of differences between prick & ID test sites? Thank you.

A:

Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any written protocol which suggests an appropriate distance between intradermal skin tests. Therefore all I can do is share with you our procedure, which is to separate intradermal tests by 2 mm.

Thank you again for your inquiry.

Sincerely,
Phil Lieberman, M.D.
