No, there is no specific threshold regarding pollen counts that would indicate that a child should stay indoors. In fact, we normally encourage all allergic children to receive treatment that would allow them to participate in activities that are engaged in by nonallergic children. We normally do not encourage them to remain indoors when their peers are playing outdoors.
The time of day would have no significant impact on these recommendations in terms of school activities. The same would be true for mold spore counts as well.
