29 year old male with history of multiple hornet stings 3 years ago with diffuse hives. Skin tests are positive to all venoms at 1.0 ug. Is venom therapy appropriate?

Thank you for your inquiry.

Venom immunotherapy is appropriate in your patient. There remains the question as to which venoms to use for therapy in such a situation, but I think the consensus of opinion would be to immunize to all venoms to which the patient tested positive.

Thank you again for your inquiry and we hope this response is helpful to you.
