Q:

In general, are there any contraindications for allergy immunotherapy in a patient without a spleen due to staging/treatment for Hodgkin's Disease?

A:

Thank you for your inquiry.

Hodgkin’s disease is not a specific contraindication to immunotherapy, nor is the absence of a spleen a specific contraindication.

Thank you again for your inquiry and we hope this response is helpful to you.

Sincerely,
Phil Lieberman, M.D.
