55 year old woman who after even minimal exposure to alcohol develops increase in blood pressure, pressure over the sinus area as well as chest pressure and feeling need to defecate. I do not feel this is an allergic reaction but I have not run into this complaint before and am not sure how to explain it. Any thoughts?

The symptoms you described are not a classically known reaction to alcohol to my knowledge, and I could not find any documentation of this type of adverse reaction to alcohol with a literature search. Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot explain the underlying pathogenesis.
