How often is skin testing performed when a person is diagnosed with allergies & asthma?

Thank you for your inquiry.

In most instances, only one set of skin tests are performed in patients with allergic respiratory tract disease. There of course may be exceptions to this general rule. For example, if a patient was tested as a child and returns as an adult, re-testing can be indicated. But routinely, retesting is not scheduled in patients suffering from allergic respiratory tract disease.

Thank you again for your inquiry and we hope this response is helpful to you.
