In most instances, only one set of skin tests are performed in patients with allergic respiratory tract disease. There of course may be exceptions to this general rule. For example, if a patient was tested as a child and returns as an adult, re-testing can be indicated. But routinely, retesting is not scheduled in patients suffering from allergic respiratory tract disease.
